Starring together for the first time since The Wedding Singer, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore team up in one of the funniest romantic comedies in recent years, 50 First Dates. Sandler's character, Henry, leads a carefree life in a Hawaiian paradise, spending his nights with beautiful tourists looking for a fling with no strings attached. However, everything changes when he meets Lucy (Barrymore), a woman with short-term memory loss. Each day, she forgets everything from the day before, including Henry. Determined to win over the girl of his dreams, Henry must come up with creative ways to make Lucy fall in love with him all over again every day.

Joined by Rob Schneider and Sean Astin, 50 First Dates broke box office records for opening weekend romantic comedies, showcasing the undeniable chemistry between Sandler and Barrymore. While the film's premise of a man wooing a woman with memory loss may seem gimmicky, director Peter Segal fails to fully explore the potential depth of the storyline. Instead, the movie relies on Sandler's signature juvenile humor, reminiscent of their previous collaboration in The Wedding Singer.

Despite the beautiful Hawaiian setting and the charming performance by a trained walrus, 50 First Dates falls short of delivering on its promise of a heartwarming romantic comedy.
